Maple Jammin' Burger

Food Lab! It has been a long time coming and I am glad I finally got to try out Food Lab. Food Lab is located in Downtown Riverside, so the good vibes are definitely present. The Food Lab is food court style with no designated seating area with 14 different places to try. I tried the Maple Jammin' Burger with the Unicorn Fries from Pig Pen, and the BBQ Chicken Pizza from Bricks and Birch.

First off, Maple Jammin Burger.. best burger I have ever had. Side note: I know everything I have is like the best thing I ever had, but I promise this burger is so good. It was a suggestion from one of the guys that works there because I was torn between this one and the famous deep fried mac and cheese one. I love maple though and practically have bacon pumping through my veins, so I think this was made for me. It was the perfect amount of sweet and savory. The crispy onions and gooey cheese made it super juicy and again, soooo good. #highlyrecommend

Unicorn Fries now.

Not as big of a fan as I thought I was going to be. Also, sorry we dug in before I could get a decent pic. I promise, presentation is much better. Sour cream, corn, jalapenos, nacho cheese. I think the only thing wrong here was that I substituted chips for fries. #donotrecommend Stick with the chips and I think we got a winner.

BBQ Chicken Pizza

BBQ Chicken Pizza was quite tasty. I am a big advocate for purple onions. The chicken was juicy and not dry, so always a win. Alsooooo, I am not a fan of tomato based products, no ketchup, no marinara. The fact that it was BBQ sauce instead of the traditional pizza sauce was probably a win for me. It was a little too burnt for me on the bottom, but probably because it was a thin crust. The flavors were great the cheese to sauce ratio was perfect.

Service was great, environment was great, vibes were great. I recommend trying Food Lab just because it is a really cool place to hang out. There is so much of a variety from lunch and dinner to dessert. There are vegan options as well!
